FAQ
Audio branding (sonic branding) is the deliberate design of how a brand sounds — from an audio logo, through a musical DNA, to a full system of sounds across advertising, product, retail spaces and social media. Well-designed sound serves real business goals: building recognition, subconscious trust and love-brand status, standing out from competitors, and reaching the touchpoints that visuals never get to.
In everyday use we treat the terms interchangeably - both are about building a brand's image through sound. If you want the precise distinction: sonic identity is the concrete assets and files (audio logo, musical theme, palette of textures), and audio branding is the whole strategic process around them. At Soundize™ we deliver both as one coherent ecosystem.
Typically: a sound audit and strategy, an audio logo, a musical DNA and main theme, variants for TV, radio and online advertising, interface sounds (UX sound), a brand voice, and implementation guidelines. The scope is matched to the size of the brand and the channels it communicates in.
An audio logo (often thought of as a traditional jingle) is a short, one- to three-second signal that identifies a brand the same way a graphic mark does - the sonic equivalent of a logo. It is usually the main element of audio branding, the one the rest of the system is built on.
It depends on scope. An audio logo alone is a different budget from a complete system with a musical DNA, advertising variants and multi-channel rollout. We set a starting point during a free consultation, once we understand the brand's goals and scale.
Usually 6 to 12 weeks — from audit and strategy, through concept and composition, to production and an implementation package. An audio logo on its own can be faster; larger campaigns involving artists take longer.
